Frequently asked questions
- What do the answers come from?
- Only from two sources: the 22 policies rendered from your Policyseed intake, and the intake facts themselves (your tools, owners, contacts and scope). For each question your browser finds the policy statements that match it best and sends just those, with the question, to draft the answer. An answer that cannot be supported by them is marked as needing your input.
- What is sent where?
- The questions, the matched policy excerpts and your intake answers are sent to Policyseed's API, which passes them to Anthropic's API to draft the answers and returns them to your browser. Policyseed stores none of it and does not log questions or answers. The spreadsheet itself is read and rebuilt in your browser; it is never uploaded.
- What counts as one run?
- One questionnaire of up to 150 questions. The run is reserved when you click Answer. If no answers at all can be drafted, the run is refunded to your key automatically; if only some batches fail, retry them from the review table without using another run.
- Can I send the answers as they are?
- No. They are a first draft. Your customer may rely on them and write them into the contract, so read every answer, fill in each placeholder and change anything that is not true today. An answer citing a policy is only accurate if you have adopted that policy and follow it.
- Does my Audit Kit key work here?
- No. The Questionnaire Pack is a separate product with its own key, and the Audit Kit key keeps its policy runs for the kit. Buying one does not use or change the other.
Policyseed provides governance policy templates and AI tailoring. It is not legal advice and not a compliance guarantee. Management adopts the policies; the CPA firm performs the SOC 2 examination.
